Pesquera del Sur Pesquesursa S.A. (“Pesquesur”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, for what purpose and what rights you have, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Ecuador's Organic Law on Personal Data Protection.

Through the quote request form we collect only the data you voluntarily provide:

We do not collect special categories of personal data, nor do we make automated decisions or carry out profiling.

We process your data solely to handle and respond to your commercial request, prepare quotes and maintain the communication arising from that request.

The legal basis for processing is your express consent, given by ticking the corresponding box on the form (Article 6.1.a GDPR), as well as the application of pre-contractual measures at your request (Article 6.1.b GDPR).

4. Retention period

We keep your data for as long as necessary to handle your request and, afterwards, for a maximum of 24 months for commercial follow-up purposes, unless you request its deletion earlier. Once this period has elapsed, the data will be securely deleted.

5. Recipients and transfers

We do not transfer or sell your personal data to third parties. Data may be processed by technology providers offering hosting and form management services (Webflow, Inc., based in the United States), which act as data processors under contract and with the appropriate international transfer safeguards provided for in the GDPR (Standard Contractual Clauses).

As Pesquera del Sur Pesquesursa S.A. is based in Ecuador, the processing of your data involves an international transfer outside the European Economic Area, carried out with appropriate safeguards and with your informed consent.

If you reside in the European Union and believe the processing does not comply with the regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country. In Spain, the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. The website uses TLS/SSL encryption on all communications.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect regulatory or operational changes. The current version will always be available on this page, indicating the date of the last update.

9. Applicable Ecuadorian regulations (LOPDP)

Pesquera del Sur Pesquesursa S.A., based in Manta, Ecuador, processes personal data in accordance with Ecuador's Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP) and its General Regulation, in addition to applying the GDPR safeguards for data subjects residing in the European Union.

Under the LOPDP, as the data subject you have the rights of access, rectification, updating, deletion, objection, portability, suspension of processing and not to be subject to automated decisions. Exercising these rights is free of charge and may be requested by writing to ventas@pesquesur.com.

We will handle your request within the deadlines set by Ecuadorian regulations. If you consider that your rights have not been properly addressed, you may file a complaint with Ecuador's Superintendence of Personal Data Protection, the competent supervisory authority in this matter.

We also apply the principle of proactive and demonstrated accountability, keeping records of processing activities and adopting security measures proportionate to the risk, as required by the LOPDP.
